Huntsville, Ala. – Flourish, a full-service, Huntsville-based marketing and public relations firm, recently hired two employees, doubling its workforce. Joining Flourish are Alex Hendrix, as account manager, and Presley Price, as account coordinator.
Hendrix, serving most recently as the assistant general manager of Homewood Suites in Huntsville, has been an active member of the music and events community for the past five years. Juggling roles as a singer-songwriter, executive producer of Downtown Huntsville’s Women in Music Weekend and show host of Know Huntsville’s web series Alex Tries, she is passionate about promoting local business and culture.
Price is a soon-to-be graduate of the University of North Alabama (UNA) where she studied communications, public relations and marketing in communications and technology. Most recently, she’s served as the media relations associate for the Northwest Alabama Regional Airport and while in school, acted as president for Lion Public Relations (Lion PR), the North Alabama Public Relations Council student chapter a UNA.
Both roles were filled to accommodate the continued growth the firm is experiencing, due in part to the thriving economic development in North Alabama and the desire for businesses to remain competitive alongside that growth.
Flourish, founded by Megan Nivens-Tannett in 2018, was recently nominated as an Emerging Business of the Year for the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce Small Business Awards. The full-service firm helps businesses fuel growth through hands-on planning, strategic marketing and creative communications. Today, the firm serves more than 15 clients across North Alabama and Tennessee, ranging in industries including aerospace and defense, public safety, healthcare, finance, telecommunications, entertainment and music, and health and wellness. Flourish also provides strategic, volunteer support for nonprofits in the U.S. Armed Forces and entrepreneur communities.
“The broad, yet robust range of skillsets and expertise that both Alex and Presley bring to our team is so timely and exciting,” said Nivens-Tannett. “North Alabama is experiencing such massive growth and we’re thrilled to be following that same trend in partnerships that are helping our local businesses thrive.”
