Our team at Flourish has decided to put their HGTV knowledge to use and renovate a Barbie DreamHouse! We have until November 20 to take this outdated dollhouse from drab to fab. Our team has been hard at work to “Flip or Flourish” as part of United Cerebral Palsy of Huntsville’s first-ever Flipping for the Future fundraiser.

UCP’s Community Engagement Manager, Leslie Walker, says, “The idea of this fundraiser came to me during quarantine when talking to my friend. She was remodeling houses, painting furniture, and even refurbished a dollhouse. It occurred to me that UCP could do the same thing but on a much grander scale while spreading the fun to our amazing local companies and organizations, helping our local retail businesses by displaying them downtown and creating a little extra nostalgic, fun, and socially distanced holiday joy for our community families.”

Our team met back in October to discuss the best plan of attack to tackle this HGTV inspired project. Much like what Flourish does for our clients, our team was hard at work finalizing a strategy to highlight UCP’s fundraiser and showcase the dollhouse.

In order to “Flip or Flourish”  our team had to decide what themes and designs would work best to achieve our aesthetic. Modern high contrast themes and greenery can be found throughout the structural design of the home as well as in our decor. Make sure you’re on the lookout for our house and you might just see some of our favorite influential women with fun interactive elements.

UCP has many services available for the Huntsville and Tennessee Valley community so make sure to follow their Facebook page @ucp.huntsville and visit their website at https://ucphuntsville.org/. Follow Flourish on social media to watch our “Flip or Flourish” Instagram series. Each of our resident contractors will highlight a section of our home renovation.

Stay tuned to see our final product and find out how it can be yours!
